Before you sell.
Does my car need to run?
No. Vehicles that do not start or drive are welcome. A running vehicle uses the same recycling calculator and may qualify for a condition incentive after review.
Is pickup free?
Pickup costs are listed separately from vehicle value: $75 within Greensboro, or $75 plus $2 per one-way road mile nearby. Any deduction and final net payment are agreed before loading. Customer delivery has no pickup charge.
How is my converter valued?
The range includes a provisional A2Z converter allowance. OEM units use a provisional $50–$250 allowance, aftermarket up to $25, unknown up to $125, and missing units $0. These are not live RRCats quotes or guaranteed minimums. A2Z uses buyer guidance and photos or markings to confirm the installed units and final payment.
What if I do not have a title?
North Carolina law allows eligible recyclers to buy vehicles 12 model years old or older without a title for scrap or parts only, subject to required checks and paperwork. A2Z must confirm eligibility, your government-issued photo ID, your lawful right to sell, and that there is no lien. Bring ownership documents linking you to the VIN for review, such as registration or purchase records; acceptance is not automatic. A signed seller certification and DMV stolen-vehicle check are required. Younger vehicles require proper title paperwork.
What if I have no key or ownership documents?
A key alone is not proof of ownership. A missing key requires additional review. Under A2Z policy, a vehicle with neither a title nor a key is not accepted. We also decline vehicles when the seller cannot establish ownership or authority to sell, identification is missing, VINs do not match or appear altered, or ownership is disputed. Being parked on your property does not establish ownership. Do not schedule pickup until A2Z approves your documentation.
Is the estimate guaranteed?
No. It is a preliminary recycling estimate based on your information. Actual weight, condition, included parts, ownership, and pickup details are verified before final payment is agreed.
Can I book a same-day pickup?
You can request a preferred date. Pickup is only confirmed after A2Z checks availability and contacts you.
No-title eligibility is verified at the time of purchase. Read North Carolina G.S. 20-62.1.
